An example of several Grunts
The Grunts are a seemingly all male species of pale skinned, veiny humanoids that live in the Monastery and are grouped within the Brotherhood of Grunt. All Grunts are born as the children of the Primus Gruntus Maximus.

Gruntus Not-Quite-us
According to Grunt Moments in History, the first known Grunt was the Gruntus Not-Quite-us. It was similar to the Primus Gruntus Maximus in that it gave birth seemingly without noticing, to Grunts from its back.
NeanderGrunt
A later stage of evolution was called the NeanderGrunt, who first grasped the usage of tools which, according to the Gruntus Poobah, allowed the Grunts to evolve into the "superior species" they are today. The NeanderGrunt, unlike the Gruntus Not-Quite-us, was not shown to give birth to other Grunts and his exact relationship with Grunt evolution between the Gruntus Not-Quite-us and the Primus Gruntus Maximus is thus unclarified.
Appearance[]
The Grunts can wary widely in shape and size, though they all have white pale skin, exposed red vericose veins and usually only wear shorts and shoes.
Gruntus Poobah is the only Grunt shown to be able to speak intelligibly.
The Gruntus Poobah collects hatchlings
The Grunts are born as hatchlings on the back of the Primus Gruntus Maximus, where they are found and collected by the Gruntus Poobah.
